We use Real Ear Measurement (REM) to verify your hearing aids based on your individual hearing loss and the acoustics of your unique ears.
What Is Real Ear Measurement?
Real Ear Measurement is an evidence-based method of hearing aid verification used by audiologists to measure exactly how much sound your hearing aids are delivering inside your ear.
A small, soft microphone tube is carefully placed in the ear canal alongside your hearing aid. We then measure the hearing aid’s response to speech and compare it with prescriptive targets based on your hearing test.
This allows your audiologist to make precise adjustments so your hearing aids are providing the appropriate amount of amplification across different frequencies.
